Start from an integration template¶
An integration template fills in settings for OAuth or an API tool. Add your credentials and adapt the template to your task. Available templates appear in the relevant editor.
Apply a template¶
- Open the OAuth or API-tool editor and select an available integration template.
- Review the copied URLs, method, scopes, schema and response settings as applicable.
- Replace example values and enter or select your own credentials.
- Check the execution description against your actual customer task.
- Save, test the connection and inspect the processed response.
- Assign the completed tool to the intended Agent and test a call.
Review the copied settings¶
| Setting | Why to review it |
|---|---|
| Endpoint and account identifiers | Your region, environment or account can differ. |
| Scopes and credentials | The template does not authorize your external account. |
| Required fields | Your workflow must collect real values for the target API. |
| Response mapping | The Agent should receive only the information it needs. |
You can edit the settings after applying the template. Later template changes do not automatically update your integration.
If no suitable template is available, set up the API tool using your service’s documentation.
